City Pulse Film & Television Institute - An Institute of excellence. 
 
An institution that would be autonomous and would function as a center for excellence in imparting knowledge on the film and television industry.   It is decided to build upon the prevalent infrastructure and create a full-fledged training institute in film and television technology  not only to cultivate skills and handle equipment, but also to imbue fresh, young minds with basic concepts of a value-based education that remains long after the training is over.

The Courses have been designed to impart education which is value-based as well as need-based. Various values are built in during the foundation programme while various needs of the programme are fulfilled during the specialisation in a particular  discipline.  This value and need-based education gets synthesis during group projects, which is essential for a teamwork in Film making and Television production.
 
Educational Methodology @ CPIFT     Infrastructure  
 
Post Graduate Diploma from CPIFT is a two-year programme designed to include a six-month foundation course which is an integrated programme of various courses in film making and television production. Subsequent to the foundation programme, one-year course will be devoted to specialization in the respective field chosen by the student.  Each and every specialized course will be followed by three-month of group projects culminating in making individual portfolio. After doing the group projects, a student undertakes a three-month internship in a  TV or Film studio.The entire two-year program is divided in four semesters.
 
 
   
City Pulse Institute of Film & Television is an autonomous body set up by City Pulse Media (India) Ltd. The Institute will be guided by a Governing Council constituted by inviting eminent people from Film and Television industry,   representing various disciplines of film direction, script writing, acting, cinematography, music direction and film production management, marketing, film journalism and the allied fields like performing arts & architecture.
 
In principle CPIFT provides all the basic equipments required to understand the fundamentals of film making and television production.  However, the Institute shall continuously outsource modern equipments to teach and practice specialised subjects. Thus, students get familiarised with professional environment which they will face after completion of the course.  Due to fast changing technology, we believe that out-sourcing the modern equipments at a given time is a better option than to give training on obsolete equipments. Thus, infrastructures of the Institute have all the amenities required for the basic conceptual programmes and all high end technological facilities for a specialised programme.
 
 
Eligibility & Selection Criteria for Admission     Important Note   
 
For courses in Film & Television
 
The Minimum educational qualification will be graduate in any subject.
 
For the Course in Acting
 
The Minimum educational qualification is Secondary or Higher Secondary Education.
   
All students applying for specialization in Acting will have to undertake an audition and a screen test where their dramatic talent will be tested.
 
 
The student can take up degree/graduation courses along with Acting courses  from open university.
 
Those with an educational qualification of (10+2) who opt  for a two-year course will be given a certificate only
   
All the students are also required to be proficient in English
